Obama and General Clark
July 1, 2008
In case you have yet to see General Clark’s comments about Senator McCain, here it is…
And Obama’s response is to disavow himself from these comments. How many times do we have to hear campaign surrogates make comments and then the next day have the candidate reject the same comments? When will we eventually say that enough is enough? Disavowing yourself of the comments at a later point after the damage is done just doesn’t cut it in my book.

I agree with you Jason, I never believed the hype that Obama was going to be different and he’s demonstrating he isn’t.
I couldn’t get the video. I’m so sick of the political news. It’s like a bunch of kids pointing fingers and yelling “MOM….”
Time to drop the nonsense and get down to the issues.
Obama never actually said anything about the comments specifically.
LisaRenee - Isn’t it funny how some of our fellow Ohio bloggers have bought into that? They now sing his praises. A new kind of politics…what a joke. This is more Chicago style politics.
It’s been hard to watch and it’s been hard to decide what is exactly the right thing to do. This election is going to be a challenging one for many of us because no matter how we avoid it the decision is now down to Obama, McCain or third party/not voting.
Situations like Clark were avoidable and with him out there continuing to talk about it, it makes it even more clear that the unity they are seeking is more elusive than just getting Clinton supporters it’s also a problem in trying to get those like Clark to stay on message. I think there is too much ego at times…
Looks like some people on both sides are unhappy.
Politics. Good times!
Isn’t that what they say about politics and teaching…if you’ve made at least some not happy than you are doing a good job. Something like that. It’s late.
