Quit or be impeached, Democrats tell Dann

Thanks to the Columbus Dispatch yet again for some great reporting on the never-ending saga of Marc Dann. Many of us in the Ohio blogosphere have been calling for Marc Dann’s resignation and if you have been reading this blog, you know that I have been questioning the integrity of the democratic party for not having been more forceful on this issue.
Well, as you know, they have finally called on him to resign but went even a step further telling him to resign or be impeached. The state democratic party chair said:
“Pending Saturday’s events, he’ll be holding office as an independent who was elected as a Democrat,” said Redfern. “We will distance ourselves both literally and figuratively from Marc Dann until he makes the right decision, which is to step down.”
I’m happy to see that the right steps are being taken and that the democrats didn’t circle the wagons to protect this guy. My question is this…how much damage do you think has already been incurred?
