Are We Safer?
May 2, 2008
It was reported today that President Bush has asked the congress for 70 some billion dollars in funding for the wars in Afghanistan, but mainly Iraq. This brings us to a grand total of over $900 billion thus far and no end in sight.
My question is simple. Are the terrorists spending us into bankruptcy? It seems like the same strategy that the United States used to defeat the Soviet Union. Do you see the parallels?
Attorney General Dann In the News Again
May 2, 2008
When will this nightmare finally end? The Columbus Dispatch today has a story titled, “2 top Dann aides fired, third resigns - Attorney general admits ‘romantic relationship’ with employee.” According to the article:
When asked whether he thinks Dann still has the confidence of the people as attorney general or should consider resigning, Strickland said he wants to spend more time reviewing the report before responding. But the governor said he’s grateful to have a staff that he doesn’t think would embarrass him.
When is this going to end? Do we not have someone strong enough in the democratic party to force Dann to resign? He obviously does not have the confidence of Ohioans and certainly not of this one. It makes me question Governor Strickland’s leadership abilities. This is killing the ohio democratic party.
How do you think this will all play out?
